I think that reading English books is a great way to improve.  You will learn the meaning of many new words and how they are used in sentences.  I highly recommend it.

However, please answer the poll below.

Would you rather read books in English that are:
  •  very simple stories, for example stories that children younger than you would read in native English-speaking countries (e.g. Disney), or ...
  • famous stories that are in simple English (e.g. Les Miserables, Sherlock Holmes, The Phantom of the Opera)
  • manga (graphic novels) that are in English?
